Hi, looks like you've got an early to mid-70's MIJ (Made in Japan) model.

Good score! Enjoy it.
I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.

El Degas stable as of 03/2022: 42  (13 bass, 26 electric, 3 acoustic)

Unsure.
Might have also been used concurrently and applied to different "levels" of models (the inlaid logo seems to be on the most "deluxe" models with best fit & finish).

Damn I love that Dove.
Mine is the "lower rung" MIK model but it does its job... until I sell it. I keep getting low-ball offers on it but then I go give it a good strum and remind myself it's good enough to not have to take bottom-dollar.

Hi dubwise, I merged your extra photos thread into this one to keep them from getting separated. She's a looker! :D

Thanks.
Yeah, strange how they kept messing with the specs on this and other "standard" models. Not sure why. It may have been cost considerations or something more basic like available parts at the time of manufacturing, or whatever the distributor was willing to pay.
